Volunteers

Litzsinger Road Ecology Center relies upon its two groups of volunteers— horticulture volunteers and volunteer educators.

Horticulture volunteers assist the site's staff with with ecosystem restoration.

Volunteer educators are trained to lead small groups of students in ecological inquiry at the Litzsinger Road Ecology Center.

In addition to training in horticulture, ecology, and outdoor teaching methods, our volunteers may attend enrichment programs covering a range of topics.

For information on becoming a volunteer at LREC, call Jackie Juras, manager of volunteer programs, at (314) 577-5187.
