Hello! My name is Allison Azmy, and I am the new Horticulturist here at LREC. Some of you may recognize me as the 2019 spring and fall intern. In addition to being a former LREC intern, I was a regular volunteer at Shaw Nature Reserve working with their horticulture and restoration teams. I am a graduate of the St. Louis Community College Horticulture program and have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Westminster College.

I am so excited to be back and to have the opportunity to continue working with the amazing people that contribute to LREC’s mission. You’ll often find me propagating plants in the greenhouses, cultivating the landscapes around the glasshouse and barn, and working with interns, volunteers, and site staff to help maintain this property we love so dearly. I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!
