As we move toward a new school year, we’re delighted to share a staffing update. Julie Radin, one of our teacher partners for the past 6 years, is joining the LREC staff as a School Partnership Coordinator.

Here’s Julie in her own words:

I am excited to join the team at LREC. I’ve taught kindergarten through second grade for 29 years and have always made outdoor education a priority for my students. I became a teacher partner with Litzsinger Road Ecology Center 6 years ago. Through that partnership I’ve been grateful to meet many enthusiastic outdoor educators—classroom teachers and volunteers, who helped me learn new ways to encourage children to connect with nature—especially children who are hesitant to jump in and explore. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Missouri Baptist University. I am looking forward to supporting other teachers in creating outdoor learning experiences for their students. I am also excited to learn from and work with the amazing team of volunteers at LREC.
