In September, Sarah Wilson joined Litzsinger Road Ecology Center as the new Horticulture Programs Coordinator.
She is a former teacher with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Fontbonne University. In her spare time as an educator, Sarah enjoyed volunteering with the Missouri Master Naturalists and Missouri Stream Team, as well as gardening for other teachers. COVID offered the opportunity to turn this passion into a profession, so Sarah returned to school at St. Louis Community College to earn her A.A.S. in Horticulture with a focus on native plants and design. As part of her coursework, Sarah volunteered with LREC’s Tuesday Horticulture and Friday Restoration Ecology volunteer crews.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
