Hi, my name is Lydia Soifer. I graduated from Davidson College, North Carolina in May 2020, and during undergrad was involved in several research projects focusing on spatial ecology and tropical rainforest conservation. My research experience has ranged from conducting long term monitoring in the Amazon to evaluating forest expansion in Australia to assessing the distribution of an invasive orchid in Puerto Rico and the pink lady’s slipper orchid in North Carolina.
At Litzsinger I am looking forward to beginning a project that aims to map the connectivity between Litzsinger and surrounding habitats as well as learning more about native plant identification and restoration. In the fall I will be starting a masters at the University of Cambridge where I will continue to pursue my research interests in spatial ecology.
